Never had a bad experience here! Amazing food and staff and the atmosphere is highly entertaining on a Colorado level. We drive up from Lake City just to eat here. Thanks Bonez! You rock

As a Texan, I'm typically a little leary about Mexican food north of Lubbock. And as a coastal Texan, I definitely question shrimp this far from the coast. But these shrimp tacos! I would hands down not question ordering these again. Look at the size of those shrimp!! Was not expecting that at all. The sauce on these tacos had a slight kick although I'm not sure if it felt spicier because my lips were a bit dry. But nothing most couldn't handle, had a great flavor. 3 tacos was very filling for a bigger guy. I'd also had chips and queso. (Not pictured) The decor in the restaurant aligned with the name of the establishment and was interesting to look around at the tall ceiling and decorations throughout. The food obviously was amazing but If I wasn't hungry and just wanted a tasty margarita this would be the spot to get one. The list of different Margs made the decision more difficult but was pleased with my selection of a spicy margarita. The bartender Sophie was phenomenal and gave great recommendations. Fellow Texans or from any state looking for some great shrimp tacos should stop in and try these with a margarita of your liking.

Food was great and I'm still going to rate it as a 5 star experience. However, there was one small issue: DEAR CHEFS AT BONEZ: WHEN AN ORDER COMES IN FOR BEEF FAJITAS, PLEASE SLICE THE BEEF PROPERLY BEFORE YOU GRILL IT. I DO NOT WANT A HUNK OF BEEF LIKE GRANDMA'S SUNDAY POT ROAST STUFFED IN MY TORTILLA. PLEASE SEE THE PHOTO ATTACHED.

Excellent vegetarian options. I was pretty excited they added a black beans to my bowl without an extra charge. It was a little too spicy for us, but the food was delicious and so we eat it anyways. (Diablo bowl, and mushroom spinach enchiladas).

A spacious spot with exposed steel-frame decor and warm yellow lighting – like stepping into an indoor Mexican festival. Plenty of seating, great for both group outings and date nights. Food: Absolutely delicious Mexican tapas – think queso flameado, DIY guacamole, and chorizo sliders. Hearty mains like carnitas enchiladas, elk fajitas, or Mexican pot roast are full of flavor and generously portioned. Drinks: A wide selection of tequila and mezcal, strong margaritas, and creative cocktails. Happy hour runs from 4–5 PM with great deals – definitely worth checking out. Service & Vibe: Super friendly and fast staff – they’ve even hosted weddings, so service is professional and smooth. The atmosphere is lively but not too loud. Tips: – Arrive between 4–5 PM to make the most of happy hour. – Free parking available at the corner of Elk & 1st, or use street parking. – Great vegetarian and gluten-free options like house-made guacamole and seitan tacos – highly praised by many. Perfect for friend gatherings, family dinners, or low-key events.

What a fun, awesome, quirky place! Skeletons, sugar skulls, book cases with book titles turned the other way, and more! My veggie fajita was amazing and my husband’s dinner was reported as flavorful and enjoyable. Our waiter, who was also the bar server, was pretty awesome. My margarita was delicious, not cloyingly sweet like so many other restaurants. The bartender reported that they make their own mixer using Triple Sec and lime juice the way it should be! This would be my hang out if I lived anywhere close.

I went here back in January of 2024 and was sad to see that it is temporarily closed. The food was pretty good but a little bit expensive for what it was. However the restaurant itself was unique and the queso was my favorite. The drinks were also pretty good.

The most full tacos I've ever had! I tried the beef, pork and chicken and each was bursting with flavor and bursting out of its tortilla. The margarita was delicious. The DIY guacamole was excellent and seating outdoors gives a great view of the mountains and Elk Ave. Side note: I did pay the price for that amount of food and garlic so if you're susceptible to a little bloat - go easy (done with old man aside).
